There are century old sycamore trees, picturesque canals and historic villas (like ‘De Laak’ where Anton Philips from Philips Electronics lived with his family). Also historic is the anecdote (told by our early neighbours) that former queen Beatrix and her sisters slept here under this roof (around 1950).
